I’m a photographer. And I love what I do.

followell fotography got its start in 2007 when I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design from Mississippi College, and moved forward in search of the career path God would have me take. After having spent much of my college career enhancing my skills as a designer and artist, I was searching for the medium that seemed to fit me best, and a camera fell into my lap. I learned quickly that my niche was working in an art form that included contact with people everyday. Photography was the perfect fit.

In May of 2009, the business nestled into a permanent studio location in the historic business district of Clinton, Mississippi. The studio is my workplace and client meeting area. My work will always be very location-driven and inspired by natural and urban surroundings, and therefore no shooting takes place in the studio. Five months after I officially opened my doors, followell fotography was recognized as Jackson’s Best Photographer by WAPT’s A-List.
 
My philosophy and approach to photography are simple: capture the fun of real life. My goal is to document stilled imagery that absorbs the viewer in the moment, in the experience. It is both my passion for art and love for people that help me accomplish that goal.

The real credit for my success so far belongs to my Jesus and my wife, Jessica. It’s a true team effort – Jesus sustains and Jessica supports. Now, if I could only learn to listen to both of them a whole lot more.

Heather joined the followell fotography team in the summer of '09 and in 0.27 seconds proved her irreplaceable value to what's going on here. Her title of "office manager" would make you think that she handles just about everything that happens in the studio, which is profoundly accurate.

She schedules. Better than U2's road manager.
She types. You'll like her e-mails more than your mom's.
She processes orders. Wonder why you get prints so fast? Heather.
She talks. Give the studio a call. She'll answer. And you'll be glad.

Sorry guys, but Heather's happily married to Robby's best bud Eliott. Often, the four of us (Robby, Jess, Heather, Eliott) play cards and eat pizza together, usually in our pajamas. That's how close we are.

Portrait sessions (Engagement, Bridal, and Family Sessions) are $250, which includes up to two hours of coverage and a selection of prints.
